The 45-year-old teacher Rens L. from Tilburg has been sentenced to eighteen months in prison, of which twelve conditional, for sex with a student of 17. The Court of Appeal in Den Bosch ruled on Wednesday. The most striking was that he was orally satisfied in a classroom by the girl, while a friend of hers was there.

The Tilburger, who is no longer a teacher, was acquitted by the court last year. But now, on appeal, he admitted that he had had sex with the girl in March 2023. That happened at him at home and at the King Willem I College in Den Bosch, where he taught at the time.

Movie ‘Blowjob’ went around
At the time, the whole case caused a lot of commotion at the MBO school, because a video of the ‘Blowjob’ under the teacher’s office went around. Rens L. had sent her that video and she sent it to other students again. The sex in the class was quickly over when two other students entered the room.

They saw the 17 -year -old girl coming out under the teacher’s desk. A friend of the girl, who sat opposite the teacher all the time, stated that he had not seen anything, except a piece of his penis and some skin when he raised his pants, but according to the court she was unintentionally witnessed the sexual acts.

‘She was especially for me’
Rens L. denied at the court that he could be seen on that video and also that he had had sex several times with that student from his class. But he came back to this during the appeal and confessed everything.

According to Rens L., the girl was especially for him. Because she had a difficult home situation, he had taken care of her. Together with girlfriends, she often lingered after class in his room.

Girl sent nude photos

The girl also sent the teacher nude photos and hinted a lot on sex in messages. The sex was not against the girl’s will, but sex with a minor is punishable, regardless of what the minor finds or feels.

In addition to the prison sentence, Rens L. can no longer give education to minors for five years. He didn’t intend to do that. His contract with an IT company was terminated shortly before the hearing, because the employer counted on Rens L. to get no statement about behavior (VOG) after a conviction.
