England’s football heroine Michelle Aggyemang is also storming for Brighton and Hove Albion in the coming season of the Women’s Super League (WSL). The European champion from the Champions League winner FC Arsenal is borrowed again for one year. Both clubs confirmed this.
Agyemang (19) has been with Arsenal since she was six years old, but so far she has only had six missions for the first team (one goal). For Brighton, she scored five goals in 22 missions last season, which brought her the nomination for the European Championship in Switzerland.
At the tournament, she made her breakthrough: Agyemang achieved the compensation in the lost quarter -finals against Sweden (3: 2 IE) and also scored seconds before the final whistle in the semi -finals against Italy (2: 1 nV). In the final against Spain (3: 1 IE) she was substituted and then elected the best young player of the tournament.
Nevertheless, the prospects for a lot of playing time at Arsenal were apparently not given. “After intensive conversations with Michelle and her family, we came to the conclusion that this change offers Michelle further development opportunities. We wish her every success and look forward to welcoming you again at Arsenal,” said women’s director Clare Wheatley.
