Eintracht Frankfurt reacted to the Paris FC to the Departure of Club icon Kevin Trapp and committed Michael Zetterer from Werder Bremen. The 30 -year -old goalkeeper signs a contract with the Hesse until 2029. According to media reports, the SBU transfers a transfer of 5 million euros to the Weser, which can increase to 5.8 million euros with bonus payments.

“With Michael Zetterer we win a strong goalkeeper who can also play football at a high level,” said SGE sports director Markus Krösche. “In Bremen he has proven that he is an above-average goalkeeper. With his ambitions and mentality, he fits us to Frankfurt. It was particularly important to us to go into the new season with a strong and balanced goalkeeper team-and Michael is a very important building block for this.

Zetterer came to Bremen from Unterhaching in 2015 and was awarded to Klagenfurt in 2019 and in 2021 to Zwolle. In autumn 2023, he replaced the long -standing number one Jiri Pavlenka and has been a goalkeeper at the Hanseates since then – it increased its market value from 500,000 to 4.5 million euros. Last season he completed all 34 Bundesliga games and stayed ten times without conceding a goal. Zetterer is replaced with its own plant Mio Backhaus (21), who is still waiting for his professional debut for the green and whites.

In Frankfurt, Zetterer is initially represented Kauã Santos, who works on his comeback after a cruciate ligament rupture in mid -April. The 22 -year -old Brazilian had replaced Trapp last season and is now being competed with Zetterer for the place between the posts. Santos could return on matchday 3 after the international break. The first Bundesliga game will play the SBU on Saturday against Zetterer’s ex-club Werder.

With Zetterer, who is the fifth access of Eintracht, the expenses of the SGE increase to EUR 57.6 million with income of over 100 million euros. The club initially overtakes BVB and takes fourth place in the Bundesliga. Born in Munich, the third player is the third player this summer, for whom Werder collects a transfer. After the departures of Marvin Ducksch (2 million, Birmingham) and Dawid Kownacki (500,000, loan to Hertha), the income is EUR 7.5 million.
