Five years after his women’s football department was founded, Borussia Dortmund is for the first time in the main round of the DFB Cup and pulled the big lot.
In the playoffs, the regional league team won 3: 1 (1-0) against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday evening, now there is a duel with defending champion Bayern Munich at home. This was the result of the draw after the game in Dortmund.
The BVB women, who rose to the third-class regional league West this year, had achieved the KO play against Gladbach, second division and quarter-finalist of the past season, through a victory in the final of the Westphalia Cup against the district rival Schalke 04.
VfL Wolfsburg, from 2015 to 2024 in series DFB Cup winner, competes at the competition in Bremen at regional league team ATS Buntentor. The first main round will be played from September 27th to 29th, the final will increase in Cologne on May 14, 2026 as usual.
