“I remember that I was crying uncontrollably,” says Edwards. “I couldn’t see clearly. I was just broken. We lost the baby after about 24 weeks. I never spoke about it before because of course I collapsed and nobody knows except direct friends and family,” explains the Little Mix singer.
Edwards had the miscarriage in 2021, a year after the birth of her son.
Edwards also says that she had a miscarriage during her very first pregnancy. This loss was less traumatic for her than her second miscarriage. “I think it was because it was so early in pregnancy. I thought: oh, that’s sad. But I think if you are already far and 24 weeks pregnant and you have already planned their room and all those things, it is really difficult,” said Edwards
Edwards has had a relationship with the English football player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since November 2017 and together they have a 3-year-old son, Axel.
