Robbie (12) meets his idol after year in seclusion due to serious illness: “It was Corona squared”

For a year, the life of Robbie Maes (12) from Heikant in the Netherlands stood completely still due to cancer and heavy treatments. But at the Rijvers Festival in Zomergem (Lievegem) he can now tick off a piece of his bucket list: he was allowed to go on the road with his family Timon Verbeeck with his family. “Nice to see that he can be a child again.”
