FC Barcelona succeeds in a successful start in the Spanish league. The victory is favored by two references to the opponent.
Coach Hansi Flick successfully started the title defense with FC Barcelona in the Spanish Primera División. The champion came to a safe 3-0 (2-0) on the first match day in the away game at RCD Mallorca. The goals for Barça scored Raphinha (7th), Ferran Torres (23rd) and exceptional ski Lamine Yamal (90.+4).
However, the second goal heated the minds: after a shot by Lamine Yamal, Mallorca’s captain Raillo was hit on the head and slumped to the ground. Referee José Luis Munuera Montero did not intervene despite visible irritation, the game continued. The second goal for Barça then fell.
The encounter became increasingly hot – especially because of the hosts. Mallorca was decimated by two references within a few minutes: Manu Morlanes saw yellow-red in the 33rd minute, Vedat Muriqi in the 37th minute smooth red. For more than 50 minutes, the Javier Aguirre team had to survive in double outnumber. In added time, Lamine Yamal set the end (90.+4).
By the way: Joan Garcia, who represented Marc-André ter Stegen, stood in goal. Barça was only able to complete the licensing for new summer access shortly before kick-off. This was made possible by the medical classification of Ter Stegen’s back surgery as a long -term injury – a step that was necessary to create financial scope.
Previously, there had been disagreement between the club and goalkeeper about the measure. The dispute, partly also publicly conducted, was preceded by the formal procedure. García was now allowed to play in a league game for Barça for the first time.
