Entrepreneur Lesley Molema also looks back on a very intense time. His restaurant right opposite the building where the fire raged was full of people that evening. “We looked at the fire full of surprise and how fast it all went,” says Lesley.

The aftermath was not tender, but luckily Lesley has been reimbursed a lot from the insurance. The only thing he is bothered by now is the view of the neighbors. “Little still happens at the building and that is a shame,” says Lesley.
According to Wim de Ruiter, it will take a few months before the building will be rebuilt. He had contact with the owner this week. “They want to restore the building as it was,” says Wim.
But that can take a while. Until then, Lesley still has a good suggestion for the front that he looks out with his restaurant. “Last week there happened to be an artist who asked if he could paint it. I certainly welcome that!”
