The former Juve coach returns to our country and chooses Sutri as his new home
“Today is a special day. With great honor we have accepted the request for residence of Thiago Motta, making it in all respects one of our fellow citizens”. With this announcement, the mayor of Sutri (municipality of just under 7 thousand inhabitants in the province of Viterbo), communicated that the former footballer and coach has become in all respects a citizen of the Lazio village. In the heart of Tuscia, Sutri is known for the archaeological park, the ruins of Etruscan civilization, the necropolis, the Roman amphitheater, the Pagan Mitreo temple and Villa Savorelli, an ancient Renaissance noble residence.
“Having Motta among the citizens of Sutri represents a reason for pride for the municipal administration and for the whole city” added the first citizen Matteo Amori. “Thiago’s choice to live here is an important signal – further specify from the municipality -: it means that our territory still has the ability to attract important personalities, which recognize its beauty and human value”. Motta last March was exonerated by Juventus, a team that in 8 months trained for 42 games with an average of 1.67 points per race.
