On July 23, Elizabeth Lawlor met with her ex-boyfriend Sean Knight Nicholson, the oldest grandson of Jack Nicholson, Venice, California. According to the Lawlor, the meeting should be a quiet conversation. At the end of the evening she was injured and unconscious.

According to a police report and statements by Lawlor, Sean Nicholson had contacted after a stay in a withdrawal clinic. He stated as the reason that he wanted to speak about a difficult time in his life. Nicholson, 29, is in recovery depending on the drug and have schizophrenia, the report says. In the past, he had combined medication with illegal substances.

The relationship between the two started in April 2023. Separations and reconciliations occurred several times. Earlier allegations of domestic violence are documented in the police report.

The grandson of Jack Nicholson is said to have communicated Lawlor by text message that he had taken a bottle of valium and would kill himself if it didn’t come. Sean Knight Nicholson was arrested on August 7th. The police accuse him of serious assault on his ex-partner. He was released for the deposit, as “People” reports. A court date is scheduled for August 26th. In the event of a conviction, there is a risk of up to four years in prison.

Further steps

Elizabeth Lawlor applied for an injunction two weeks after the incident. This was temporarily issued on August 11th. Another hearing will take place on September 2. So far, Nicholson has not commented on the allegations.
