With a bit of luck you can make a lot of wishes last night. There are falling stars above Drenthe. And when you see a falling star, you can of course make a wish.

Every year around August there are falling stars. Although they are not real stars that fall from heaven. It is grit from the space that burned in our atmosphere. You can see that best if it is pitch dark.

“It’s a bit to tonight. It has just been full moon. That moon gives a lot of light,” says Theo Jurriens, astronomer at the University of Groningen. “A dark spot where there is no artificial light is preferred.”
