The Israeli embassy in The Hague was damaged in the night from Monday to Tuesday and with red paint. That reports The embassy Tuesday on X.

The destruction happened around 3:30 am, according to a police spokesperson to the ANP news agency. Three suspects were arrested. It is a 29-year-old from Leiden, and a 30-year-old woman from Rotterdam. The identity of the third person is still in uncertain.

“This is how dangerous suspension and lies against Israel look,” writes The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X. In addition, the Ministry stated that this suspension led to ‘a pogrom against Israelis’ a few months ago in the Netherlands, referring to the Maccabi riots of November.

In the past few months, the Israeli ambassador Modi Ephraim has been called twice by outgoing Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp. In the most recent case, at the end of July, this was to inform him of Dutch steps against Israel.

It is not the first time that the embassy has been damaged. Last March, a 25-year-old Amsterdammer threw a burning object to the embassy in protest against the genocidal violence in Gaza. There were no injuries at the time.

Last week the building of the pro-Israeli lobby group CIDI in The Hague was smeared with red liquid and flour. The same day the building of the House of Representatives in The Hague was also daubing. The room debated that day about the situation in Gaza.
