A 24-year-old man from Hoogeveen was arrested last night after trying to flee from the police on his motorcycle. The chase ended with an accident, where the motorcyclist lost control over the steering wheel.

The chase started on the Groningerstraat in Assen, where the police saw a cross -motorcyclist without a license plate make a wheelie and saw riding at high speed. The Hoogevener ignored a stop sign, after which the chase was used.

In the bicycle tunnel at Central Station, the motorcyclist lost control of the steering wheel, bumped into a police car and he came to fall. He was arrested and taken to the hospital for a check -up. The suspect has been heard by the police and is now free again. The research showed that he did not have a valid motorcycle license.
