Vincent Vehnij leaves the second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf and joins the Liga rival Dynamo Dresden. Both clubs announced the transfer of the Dutch striker on Monday. A contract term was not mentioned.
“With Vincent we were able to win a player for ourselves who knows the second Bundesliga and its requirements very well and has already demonstrated its quality in numerous play classes beyond the second division,” said Dresden sports manager Thomas Brendel. Coach Thomas Stamm and Vehij (31) know each other from SC Freiburg II.
2023/24 had achieved twelve second division goals for the Fortuna, last season it was only one goal in 20 mostly short stakes. Both the Fortuna and Dynamo have lost their first two season games.
