Highway to trade fair arena: arrival
In the period from August 17th at 5 a.m. to August 18 at 5 a.m., the B36 is closed to private cars in the section of the exhibition center. Only shuttle buses are allowed to drive there during this time. The organizer therefore advises against arriving by car. But if you want to come by car, you should form carpools as it is on the Mobility portal of the concert means.
The Karlsruhe (VBK) transport companies expect around 15,000 fans who arrive on public transport. Additional lanes are used on the route to the Forchheim Retirus Road/Mass. The rail lines S2 and the specially furnished line E run every 5 minutes between Karlsruhe and Rheinstetten between 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., as well as between 9 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Practical: The concert ticket is considered a ticket!
On the day of the concert there will be train failures on the Karlsruhe – Basel train route, but replacement traffic is set up by bus.
According to the local transport company Baden-Württemberg, several special trains from Karlsruhe main station are arranged for the return trip. The S3 drives to Kaiserslautern, Mannheim and Schifferstadt with a special train each from 1 a.m. The S9 drives to Mannheim and Mainz with 2 additional special trains from 1 a.m. An additional train drives on the lines of the RE1, RE2 and RE6 from 1 a.m.
Weather
The weekend gets hot: it should get up to 27 degrees warm during the day, but without clouds it will probably feel hotter. So remember to pack water and sun protection.
