Yves Berendse fiercely goes against René Froger, who believes that starting artists are not allowed to ask 10,000 euros per performance. “It’s just supply and demand!”, Says the Back in the time singer.
René Froger has expressed his annoyance in the Oranjezomer about young artists who, according to him, immediately ask towering gages. He thinks it is unrealistic that starting singers without proven are of service count up to 10,000 euros per performance, and states that they first have to show what they are worth before they ask such prices.
What does Yves think?
With that sneer, René immediately seemed to refer to Samuel Welten, known for the song ‘Maserati, Huis in Bali’. Somewhat oncollegial of course and that is why the singer decided to return to it in a long statement. Shortly thereafter, René’s criticism was repeated by Guido den Attrekker, and he also took Yves Berendse.
What does Yves actually think of René’s statements? He says in front of the camera of Shownieuws: “He said that artists are soon very expensive in terms of price. That is of course just supply and demand.”
250 euros
Yves doesn’t understand René at all. “I started with 250 euros and I am now on a nice gage, so I have worked for ten years to get there,” he says.
But: “If I would go back to my female fees from ten years ago today, I would still have continued to sing.”
And that is a difference, says Yves. “Do you understand?”
High in the tree
Tino Martin does agree with René, he says in the same item. “In any case, I agree with what René says. Hahahaha. If you just get in and you immediately sit high in the tree, what will you do in two, three or four years?”
Wesy Bronkhorst: “If you have earned it, you can do that, but at some point there is a limit of course.”
And finally, Marco Schuitmaker: “As you get more hits and more your own songs, then of course you can also raise the fee slightly.”
