Willem II started the season in the Kitchen Champion Division badly. The Tilburgers, who want to return to the Eredivisie immediately after relegation, lost 5-1 at ADO Den Haag on Sunday.

Luka Reischl headed ADO in the 36th minute. Ringo Meerveld was the same shortly before the break. ADO quickly walked out after the break and after more than an hour of play already led 4-1 through hits from Sekou Sylla, Daryl van Mieghem and Illaijh de Ruijter.

After a red card for Willem II’er Runar Sigurgeirsson, ADO scored again via Steven van der Sloot.

Helmond Sport also made no strong start this Sunday. The team lost 1-3 to Roda JC. Top Oss did the Vrijdadag evening much better (4-0 win over MVV Maastricht). FC Den Bosch then beat Jong Ajax (2-1) and FC Eindhoven was too strong for Jong FC Utrecht (1-0).

Also bad start for NAC, but PSV starts strong
In the Eredivisie, NAC Breda started the new season with a defeat. The Bredanaren lost 2-0 to Feyenoord on Saturday.

It was a better weekend for PSV. The national champion won 6-1 against Sparta Rotterdam and is therefore at the top of the Eredivisie.
