Italian basketball is in mourning. At just 44 he died after a long illness Paola Mauriello, a former national team. With the blue shirt he had won the Mediterranean games in 2009, while at the club level he had conquered a Scudetto (2006) and a Super Cup (2007) with Napoli Vomero. He also wore the Faenza, Ragusa, Parma and Ribera shirts. He recently had participated in “Free Yourself”, course for FIP coach. He was currently regional councilor in Abruzzo with delegation to the female movement. Paola leaves her son Luciano and her husband Antonello Giordano. The funeral will be held on Monday in Francavilla at 5 pm, at the parish of Sant’Alfonso. President Fip Gianni Petrucci with a press release shared the condolence of the family by personal and name of Italian basketball.
