A reporter specializing in football transfers Fabrizio Romano reported in his X account that a defender Malick Thiaw is moving to the Premier League.
Thiaw, 24, is switching to AC Milan in Newcastle.
The topper who played three matches in the German national team could have also been able to choose the Finnish national team.
Thiaw was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, but his father is Senegal and his mother is Finnish.
According to Romano, AC Milan and Newcastle have agreed on a transfer fee of EUR 40 million.
The deal is to pass the medical examination.
Thiaw has 63 matches in Serie A and 26 games in the Bundes League. He has not played earlier in his career in England.
