Victor Langellotti takes a Tour of Poland after stage victory leadership
Victor Langellotti has won the sixth stage of the Tour of Poland. The Monegask from Ineos Grenadiers was the fastest in a sprint uphill after a ride over 147.5 kilometers with start and finish in Bukowina Tatrzanska.
Langellotti caught up with the American Brandon McNulty just before the line. The Spaniard Pello Bilbao finished third. Langellotti took over the yellow leader’s jersey from the Frenchman Paul Lapeira.
The riders had to cross the Sciana Harness and the Sciana Bukowina three times in the local round, after which the last kilometers also rose. Despite the climbs, Sprinters Olav Kooij and Matthew Brennan from Visma – Lease A Bike were part of the early escape. The last refugees were taken back with less than 50 kilometers.
The Ronde van Polen ends on Sunday with an individual time trial over 12.5 kilometers with start and finish in Wieliczka.
Boxer Maud van der Toorn still to World Cup in other weight class
