In the center of Amsterdam, hundreds of people gathered this afternoon for a demonstration against Israel’s violence in the Gaza Strip, reports ANP news agency. They wear Palestinian flags and some have red clothes or a keffiyeh.

The demonstration has been announced through various activist social media accounts, including that of the red line. Under that name, about 150,000 people previously demonstrated in red clothing in The Hague. The activists run a route through the city from Beursplein.

The activists demand that Israel’s violence against the Palestinians stops, that all land and sea boundaries open to the Gaza Strip and that safe food and water can be distributed. They also want a free passage to Gaza for the ships of the Freedom Flotilla action group.

In various countries, Pro-Palestinian action groups have announced demonstrations for this Saturday.
