New task for the former striker Anja Mittag. She moves from Leipzig to the USA.

The former national soccer player Anja Mittag continues her career as a trainer in the USA at the NWSL club San Diego Wave. In California, the 40-year-old looks after the players as a coach for individual development. “I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with the team and the employees and further developing,” wrote at noon on Instagram.

Until the end of last season, the world and European champion at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig was a co-trainer on the sidelines. The head coach in San Diego is the former Arsenal coach Jonas Eidevall. French international Delphine Cascarino also belongs to the club’s squad.
