FC Turin borrowed the Argentine center forward Giovanni Simeone from league competitor SSC Naples until the end of the season. Part of the deal is also an obligation to purchase that is bound to certain performance -related parameters. If these are fulfilled, the 30-year-old contract will be extended to another year by 2028, the granata said.
The five -time international was initially moved from Hellas Verona to Naples in 2022 and was firmly committed for 12 million euros in the following year. With the Serie-A-Club, the son of Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone won two championships and made it to 18 scorers in 103 competitive games. Last season Simeone had scored a goal in 30 league games, but was only in the starting eleven Napolis.
