Dijks has the contract dissolved and leaves Fortuna
Mitchell Dijks leaves at Fortuna Sittard. The 32-year-old defender had his contract that has been dissolved until the summer of 2026, reports the Limburg Eredivisieclub.
“We have been in conversation several times in the past period. Mitchell indicated that he would like to enter into a new adventure one more time. In his time at Fortuna he always fully committed to the club. That is why we like to think along with him in this step,” responds technical director Américo Branco on the Fortuna website.
Dijks played for Fortuna Sittard from 2023 and came to 61 games. After completing the youth academy of FC Volendam, he played for Ajax, SC Heerenveen, Willem II, Norwich City, Bologna and Vitesse.
