Professional volleyball player Simona Cinà attended a graduation ceremony in Italy-and was then found dead in the pool. Now the public prosecutor’s office is investigating.

After a celebration in a villa in Sicily, the Italian volleyball player Simona Cinà was found dead. The 21-year-old was discovered lifeless in the pool in the night of Saturday-with his face up, on the back. The public prosecutor is now investigating homicide.

Cinà had previously celebrated two students with friends after training their club ACG Beach. Around 80 people are said to have been present at Palermo at the party in Bagheria. But apparently nobody wants to have noticed that the young woman drove motionless in the water.

When the Carabinieri was finally called around 4 a.m., the property was already tidy. Guests are said to have already pulled Cinà to the edge of the pelvis to carry out attempts to resuscitate.

The athlete’s family doubts an accident. Her lawyer Gabriele Giambrone said that Simona hadn’t been found on your back if she had fallen into the pool. It is also strange that no alcohol bottles in the villa were initially secured – although the party invitation had been expressly advertised with drinks.

It is also striking that Simona was wearing a bikini, but her remaining clothes had initially disappeared. Her sister Roberta reported that only the shoes were found. In photos from the evening, Simona was still seen with Jeanshorts and green top. In the meantime, the public prosecutor announced that he had secured her clothes and alcohol.

In an emotional press conference, the athlete’s parents demanded information. The mother said she wanted to know what had happened to her daughter. The father explained: “She was an athlete, she was a fish in the water.”

According to media reports, a young man whose traces of blood were discovered in the villa said that he had kicked in shock and injured himself after learning from death.

An autopsy should now clarify what Simona Cinà actually died. So far there are no suspects. Her club ACG Beach wrote about the player’s death: “She had the most beautiful smile we ever seen. She was always happy and loved this sport.”
