It was initially a Dráma for the Oranjezomer: the back operation that Hélène Hendriks underwent in the spring. Her first replacement Johnny de Mol was not in the taste of people. There was quite a lot of criticism, let alone if he hadn’t been the son of John de Mol: then he would really have ended up at the verbal stake.
‘Thomas was top’
Thomas van Groningen, the second replacement of Hélène, did top in recent weeks, says Johan Derksen. “Johnny is a very nice boy, but he doesn’t control the trick. Thomas did it fantastic. He has to record SBS 6 right away,” he says in Shownieuws.
So capturing as a presenter, because Thomas is already a political analyst at VI. “There is a lot of praise for Thomas as a presenter. He has presented it for four weeks and that praise is entirely justified in my opinion,” says TV critic Victor Vlam, he says in the podcast Victor explains TV.

If it is up to Victor, Thomas gets promotion. “What I would do if I was Talpa was that I would put the Oranjezondag in the schedule more. RTL almost always has a talk show on Sunday, not SBS, and that is partly because of the entire busy schedule of Hélène Hendriks who is also a presenter at Ziggo Sport.”
That is difficult to combine. “You just can’t put an Oranjezondag in the schedule every Sunday, but if you let Thomas and Hélène be alternated then that is indeed possible, then you also have a very good talk show with Thomas and then you also give him opportunities to make meters and get even better.”

Anyway: Johan also likes that Hélène is back. “I personally like that very much. Wilfred, René and I don’t agree on many things, but we sometimes think about the fact that we all find Hélène a top female.”
