The earth revolves around its axis faster than normal: Tuesday one of the shortest days ever measured

The earth is currently running around its axis a little faster than normal. For that reason, according to scientists, Tuesday 5 August will be one of the shortest days ever: no less than 1.25 millisecond shorter than the usual 24 hours. Instead of 86,400 seconds, the earth will therefore take 86,399.9875 seconds.
