Danny Ghosen returns to Omroep Powned on 1 September. The presenter, who started his career at Die Omroep and made programs for the NTR in recent years, returns to his old nest.

For more than ten years, Danny has been a face that regularly pops up at the public broadcaster. “He kicks in his series and documentaries against holy houses and gives a voice to the stories and people who normally remain invisible,” explains a spokesperson for Omroep Powned. And that is precisely why he is now returning there.

Danny stays with NPO

Danny is happy that he remains an NPO face. “Powned gives me a lot of confidence and offers every opportunity to make beautiful programs. I am happy that I can continue to do my work at the public broadcaster.”

PowNed chairman Dominique Weesie says: “Danny is a journalist with guts. He goes on where others drop out and exposes stories that matter. That is precisely why he belongs to Powned. Nice that he is back.”

High -profile

It is striking how Powned emphasizes that someone with a state record is being brought into the house. “This year, with his program Danny on site, Ghosen was nominated for the Zilveren Nipkow disc. For his earlier work he was nominated several times, including for the tile.”

Danny is known for programs such as Danny is looking for problems, Danny in the suburbs, Danny in Arabistan, the Battle of Lebanon, in the shadow of the World Cup and explosive Netherlands.
