PSV has the first prize of the season. The Eindhoven team defeated Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 on Sunday evening. They took the Johan Cruijff Scale. Both PSV objectives fell in the final phase of the match in their own Philips Stadium.

It was a busy summer for the technical leadership of PSV. With Walter Benítez (Crystal Palace), Olivier Boscagli (Brighton Hove & Albion), Richard Ledezma (Chivas), Malik Tillman (Bayer Leverkusen), Noa Lang (Napoli), Johan Bakayoko (RB Leipzig) and Luuk de Jong (FC Porto) left.

From the newcomers who came to Eindhoven, Spaniard Yarek Gasiorowski received a base place as a central defender. In his back, Matej Kovar stood, who won the goalkeeper struggle from Nick Olij. Alassane Pléa was preferred to Ricardo Pepi during rush hour. Ruben van Bommel, the son of club icon Mark van Bommel, started on the couch.

The renewed PSV did not immediately impress on its own field. There was nice football at times, but the cup winner from Deventer remained fairly easy. There were opportunities for left back Mauro Junior and Couhaib Driouech, to which goalkeeper Jari De Busser had an answer. While the national champion insisted more and more, it was Go Ahead Eagles with the danger. First Mathis Suray gave a warning with a shot on the crossbar, shortly thereafter he shot a cross from the left flank behind Kovar: 0-1.

Triple switch
In the second half, the home crowd began to murmur after weak play of his favorite team. Trainer Peter Bosz intervened after an hour and brought three new powers with Guus Til, Ruben van Bommel and Ricardo Pepi. Yarek Gasiorowski, Joey Veerman and Couhaib Drieouech were taken to the side.

Very successful their input was not the first minutes, because Pepi’s first shot attempts and Til flew high towards the stands. Their shots then came more close, with the Rescue of the Busser on a shot from Til of the outdoor category.

The PSV players were unable to score, but in the 79th minute they received help from Eagles defender Gerrit Nauber. The German defender tapped a cross from Ivan Perisic unfortunate behind his own goalkeeper. The goal gave PSV confidence and six minutes later it was hit again. Right back Dest got the ball in front of his feet and he got hard: 2-1. That thumping arrived hard with the guests from Deventer and PSV was then able to cross the win.
