Sports director Christoph Freund confirmed on the sidelines of the game that the midfielder was in discussions with a new club. “It will no longer pull endlessly when everything runs smoothly,” said Freund. The change will be carried out “promptly”, he announced.
According to matching media reports, a loan of the 30-year-old Portuguese to Tottenham Hotspur is imminent. Previously, according to Freund, “Medical Checks” and “Contract Stories” had to be clarified. In Munich, Palhinha still has a contract until 2028.
