A man died on Saturday night in a collision on the A2 near Maarheeze. In the accident, which took place around one o’clock in the morning, three cars were involved: a Spanish car, a taxi and a car with a Dutch number plate.
The deceased man was in the Spanish car with two others. He is said to have been thrown out of it in the collision and ended up on the other half of the road.
Another man from this car was also found outside the car. He was taken seriously injured to a hospital.

Prison sentence
The taxi driver is said to have been relatively good, but he too was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
Two people who were in the car with the Dutch number plate would have been arrested by the police. The driver of this car is suspected that he would have driven under the influence. The co -driver turned out to have a good prison sentence.
Detour
The police are investigating how the collision could take place and closed the highway from Budel to Maarheeze exit. Traffic in the direction of Eindhoven is advised to follow the local diversion.
