Rick Brandsteders who got out of hand alcohol consumption is on the street because the press may be present at the court case against him. Isn’t that a pity for such a boy? “It’s Part of the Deal!“”
As a Dutch person you can still do your best to shield your private life, but as soon as a legal dispute plays, the doors of the courtroom also open to the press and then the discretion is over. As soon as the gowns come on, the showbiz sections are there like the chickens and Rick Brandsteder is no exception.
Harder punished?
Anyone who ends up in court as a public knows that his misstep is not only legally, but also publicly settled. Are the Dutch people not punished harder than others? Presenter Hein Keijser puts the Evert Santegoeds in the podcast Strictly private.
Hein says: “Of course we had Fenna Ramos this week, we had Rick Brandsteder. Both lawsuits, in other forms and other categories, but they are disputes about Dutch celebrities. Is it wise to have those kinds of disputes play in court?”
“Where else?”
Evert does not understand the question. “Yes, where else?”
Hein: “Yes, because you may be able to do that behind closed doors, with a settlement or … for the loss of face of the Dutch celebrities.”
Evert: “Yes, that’s Part of the Dealyou have to realize that before you sit in the car with a six -pack beer and a bottle of gin, right? It would be very strange if you said to a well -known Dutchman: we will close the door. The case law is open and exposed. That also applies to Dutch celebrities. “
Family law
Not everything will be on the street, says Evert. “In very incidental cases, when it comes to family law, it is already behind closed doors. For example, a divorce, for example, we can’t all sit down with a notebook, but something like that … and where do you set the limit? Who is a BN person?”
“My client is BN’er enough to be treated behind closed doors!” No, you should not want that.
