There are 47 of the 125 employees in the Bredene/de Haan police zone. That is around 38%. And with that the zone is slightly above the average. Karin Vanhooren, chief of police PZ Bredene/de Haan: “Of those 47 we have 12 who works in the intervention service. So those people work seven out of seven and we note that the ladies, as soon as they end up in a family situation, opt for a regular timetable. I think you should be able to do them sufficiently to the police in the longer term.

The worst in the class are Middelkerke (21%) and Spoorkin (27%). Kouter (42%), Riho 41 (%), Het Houtsche (41%) and Gavers (40%) count the most women and in Gavers the number has risen considerably (17%). Much more often than in men it is about administrative functions.
