A man was arrested in Eindhoven at the beginning of this month for drug trafficking and money laundering. He would have been active at the airport in Eindhoven, among others. In various buildings, the man’s investigation were made. Drugs, money and a firearm were found, reports the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee on Thursday.

The man came into the picture after the Marechaussee received information about an employee of a company at Eindhoven Airport who was probably involved in money laundering and undermining at the airport. The investigation team then started an investigation in June of 2024. More than a year later, on July 1, the man was arrested. Where exactly is unknown.

Searches
On July 1, four different locations were also searched in the investigation into the man with, among other things, detail dogs of the police. The searches took place in two houses in Eindhoven, a business premises in Amsterdam and a business premises in Hoofddorp.

A total of 80,000 euros in cash, a firearm and large quantities of drugs were found. According to the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, it is probably ketamine, cocaine and MDMA.

On July 16, the judge determined that the man must remain stuck for 90 days longer. The investigation into the case and the role of the man is still ongoing.
