Ski association mourns with emotional video around Laura Dahlmeier

The death of the former biathlete Laura Dahlmeier shakes the sports world. The ski association is saying goodbye with an emotional video.
The ski association now shared a video on Instagram, in which individual clips are cut together, which Dahlmeier show in biathlon, mountaineering and other sporting activities. The video is stored with sad music and two lettering “a woman of the elements” and “forever in our hearts”, each in English.
The association also writes in English for the video: “Now you can see the beauty of the world from there and we will always feel you here. Quiet in peace and freedom you hunted.”
Already in the afternoon, the association had stopped a statement on Dahlmeier’s death. “We mourn our former athlete and biathlon legend Laura Dahlmeier,” it said.
“She was not only one of the most successful athletes in the history of the German Ski Association, but also an extraordinary person full of joie de vivre, courage and warmth – on and off the trail,” the association praised his deceased athlete. “She touched and inspired us with her passion for sport, down -to -earthness and her contagious laugh.”
The thoughts and deep sympathy of the association are with family, friends and everyone who stood near them. “We will always remember Laura as a great athlete and wonderful people. Quiet in peace, Laura,” the statement ended.
Dahlmeier won gold twice at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. A year later, she ended her career at the age of 25 and then devoted herself to her passion for mountaineering. She was a trained mountain guide and already climbed some of the world’s largest mountains. Now her passion became doom.
