Fortuna Düsseldorf has previously presented nine new additions this summer – but it should not remain until the end of the transfer period on September 1st. We are primarily looking for a ten, for which sports director Klaus Allofs should even go into the minus. As the “picture” reports, the 68-year-old received a GO of the executive floor. The background to the adapted transfer strategy is that you want to create the long -awaited return to the Bundesliga.
So far, Allofs and Co. have always had to sell before the money earned could be invested. Now it can run the other way around. This is promised by the second division club in advertising for interesting players. Nevertheless, the search for a new midfield director could still take. “The problem is that we want to have a player who can lead a game and has a certain experience. These are things that represent something special. Of course, we can think of a lot of things, but they cannot be realized at the moment.”
Because despite the new approach, F95 is only available to a certain budget. So far, you spent 4.8 million euros and took 5.5 million euros. Allofs is still positive. “With the start of the new Bundesliga season we will get a new market, that will expand the possibilities. But we are not only waiting for it-if something arises beforehand, we would also want to implement it.” In the TM rumor kitchen there were recently rumors about the U23, which was currently criminal at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Florian Neuhaus, who had already ran for Fortuna in 2017/18.
