On the so -called ‘Put van Nieuwkapelle’, the water group would like to float nearly 10,000 solar panels, or more than forty percent of the water surface. There is now a protest action in the neighborhood.
“The well has great landscape value and is also very important from an ecological corner,” they say. “There are walking and cycling paths passing by. The lake also has an emotional value for many people and many people still have good memories of the time when sand extraction started.”
