The interim high of the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL has come to an end.
A day after the 2:3 defeat in overtime against the Colorado Avalanche, there was a 3:5 against the Dallas Stars for the team around national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl.
The team from Canada had won all five previous games in the National Hockey League and secured a decent position in the fight for the playoffs. Now Draisaitl’s 42nd goal of the season for the interim 2:3 was not enough for further points in the table.
Because pursuer Vegas Golden Knights lost 4-0 to the Winnipeg Jets, the gap between third and fourth place in the Pacific Division did not change. It was the first loss of the season for the Oilers from a 1-0 lead.
