A controversial icon

Hulk Hogan, bourgeois Terry Bollea, was one of the most famous wrestlers worldwide. He competed in a total of eight wrestlemania main fights, won the WWE title six times and played in several films and shows. However, his career was not free of controversy. In the 1990s, Hogan admitted the consumption of steroids, which led to criticism. In 2015, according to racist statements, he was heard from the WWE Hall of Fame in a leaked sex tape. He was resumed there in 2018.

Racist statements

The sex tape said was published by “Gawker Media” in 2012. Hogan filed a lawsuit and received $ 160 million compensation in a sensational process. The video had been recorded without his knowledge. The transcript of the tape, published on July 24, 2015, exactly ten years before his death, contained racist statements about black people. In a later apology to the “People” magazine, Hogan described his statements as “unacceptable” and asked publicly for forgiveness.
