Dark mode: less light, more term
An effective way to reduce battery consumption during navigation is to activate Dark Mode in Google Maps. This mode represents the map view in darker colors, which leads to considerable energy savings, especially in OLED displays. A chip test showed that a smartphone in Dark Mode used significantly less battery after a one -hour drive with Google Maps than in normal mode.
