The caterer in the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena in Hanover has increased the prices for beer and bratwurst. 96 fans are angry-also about a product that still costs as much as in the previous season.

The new season of the 2nd Bundesliga may be more expensive for some football fans: in the 96 stadium, cola, apple spritzer, beer and sausage cost more than in the previous season. For half a liter of beer, 5.30 euros and 30 cents are now due. Soft drinks cost 20 cents more (4.70 euros) and a bratwurst 10 cents (4.50 euros). This is pissed off by many fans of Hannover 96.

On x they breathe their displeasure. “Does the bratwurst taste better or is it still as shit?” Asks someone there bluntly. “The prices are 1. League,” comments another user. A third simply asks: “Even more expensive?”

However, a particularly large number of water in the stadium get upset about the prices for water. These were not even increased. For half a liter of water, 4.20 euros are currently due in the arena. According to the comments, this is “a bottomless cheek”. An X-user ironically writes that it is very generous that the “already completely excessive water price” has not been increased.

A user thinks that water should be offered inexpensively, especially at high temperatures in summer. “More than 4 euros for water is absolute rip off and cannot be accepted.”

The new beer and sausage prices were announced on Friday. They already applied to the Italian first division club Cagliari Calcio, which was embedded in a fan festival on Saturday. Some also criticize the time for the price increase. “The 96 definition of fan festival. We are now really putting the money for poor quality,” comments someone on Twitter. “Wouldn’t you have been able to adapt the prices after the test game where there are many families to whom the league games are too expensive?” Asks another user.
