The water jumpers Moritz Wesemann and Lou Massenberg missed the podium at the World Championships in Singapore. The three-time European champion Wesemann came sixth in the final of the 1 m board with 386.70 points on Sunday. Massenberg landed ninth (360.45 points).
In May, Wesemann in Belek in Turkish had jumped in this discipline and in the synchronized competition from the 3-M board at the European Championships to Gold. With a total of four medals, the 23-year-old from SV Halle was the most successful male participant.
In Singapore, Zheng Jiuyuan from China secured the title (443.70 points) in front of last year’s winner Osmar Olvera Ibarra from Mexico (429.60) and his compatriot Yan Siyu (405.50).
