Florian Wellbrock has already presented in the open water and won four times. Lukas Märtens wants to do this in the pelvis over his parade route – on a special day for him.

He wants to make this day special again: Lukas Märtens has secured a good starting position for the final over 400 meters freestyle with a strong performance in the lead of the swimming World Cup in Singapore. This will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. German time – and thus exactly one year after the Olympic victory of Märtens.

He hoped that it will not only stay in the Olympic victory that day, but also the winning of the World Cup. Nevertheless, July 27th is very important in the life of Märtens even without a World Cup. “When people address me about it, I still get goose bumps,” he said with reference to Paris.

In Singapore, the pelvis feels faster than in Paris, “I am optimistic that it will be even faster,” said Märtens, who struck 3: 43.81 minutes in advance. In addition to the 400 meters of freestyle, the Magdeburger also wants to attack the 800 meter freestyle and 200 meters back and in the 4×200 meter freestyle and the layer of layers.
