63 million euros: Arsenal makes top transfer perfect

This year’s transfer summer has it all. This is because the clubs are allowed to sign players for the first time in two different periods. Due to the club World Cup, the first transfer window for the participating clubs was open from June 1st to June 10th. The regular transfer window is open from July 1st to September 1st.
Arsenal has strengthened with Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish international moves from Portuguese champion Sporting Lisbon to London and signed a long -term contract. The English runner -up officially announced this on Saturday.
According to matching media reports, the contract of the 27-year-old is valid until 2030. Arsenal is said to have paid a transfer fee of 63 million euros for the attacker.
Coach Mikel Areta praised the newcomer as “fast and powerful” strikers with “many qualities”. Gyökeres had convinced with his operational readiness and constant services. The Swedes’ goal participations also speak for themselves.
At Sporting, Gyökeres was a top scorer of the league in both seasons and contributed significantly to two championship titles. In 102 competitive games, he scored a total of 97 goals.
Borussia Mönchengladbach struck again on the offensive: the Bundesliga club secures the services of Shuto Machino. The 25-year-old attacker changes from second division Holstein Kiel to the Lower Rhine and receives a contract until 2029. In the summer of 2023, Machino was changed by Shonan Bellmare from Japan to Holstein. Last season he scored eleven goals and three templates in 32 league games.
As the club announced on Saturday, the Japanese international comes as a record transfer from Kiel. According to information from various media, the transfer, including possible bonus payments, should be around ten million euros. Gladbach’s sports manager Roland Virkus said to the transfer: “Shuto is a variable striker who can be used in different positions and thus gives us many options on the offensive.”
