The 1st FC Köln has targeted Marius Bülter from TSG Hoffenheim in the cadre planning for the Bundesliga season 2025/26. According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the promoted wants to hire the 32-year-old left wing from the league competitor from the Kraichgau. Meanwhile, the Domstadt residents are still looking for customers for a Youngster trio.
Bülter’s contract in Hoffenheim expires in 2026. Born in Ibbenbüren, he switched from FC Schalke 04 to TSG in 2023 and has the experience of 146 Bundesliga games (37 scorers). With Ragnar Ache (came for 4.5 million euros from Kaiserslautern) and Jakub Kaminski (borrowed from Wolfsburg), FC has won two strikers in the summer, and coach Lukas Kwasniok with Luca Waldschmidt, Imad Rondic, Steffis Tigges, Sargis Adamyan, Florian Dietz and Malek El Mala are available on paper – at least with Tigges, Adamyan and El Mala, however, is considered very likely to be left until the end of the transfer window.
In this situation, the experienced Bülter could come into play at the promoted team, who lasted in 25 games in the Bundesliga last season and played four more. Bülter is considered flexible on the offensive and can also occupy the center in addition to the outside. Its market value was constant at EUR 2.5 million last year, only when selling this summer could the Hoffenheim, which was also filled in the storm, generate a transfer.
In the newspaper’s report, it has not been handed over whether the Cologne residents have already taken a first step in terms of Bülter and there is an exchange between the parties. Meanwhile, however, departures will also be on the Rhine in the coming weeks. As the “Geissblog” portal reports, sports director Thomas Kessler is still looking for customers for the Youngster trio Neo Telle (20), Mansour Ouro-Tagba (20) and Emin Kujovic (20). Ideally, all three should be awarded, but Telle would first have to extend his contract.
With a view to Kujovic, the Kessler portal quotes: “We have already had some discussions. It is important to us to find an association for Emin that is the right partner for him and regularly enables him to play at a higher level than in the regional league.”
The Togolese Ouro-Tagba should also take the next step elsewhere. “Unfortunately, the past loan to Regensburg did not work as hoped. Therefore, the next step for its development is of great importance. The Bundesliga is currently out of the question for him. However, Mansour brings qualities that he should show at a higher level than in the regional league.”
