Wotte new technical director ADO Den Haag
ADO Den Haag has appointed Mark Wotte as technical director. The 64-year-old former player and trainer of the club immediately performs on an interim basis. The club from the first division reports this in a press release. Wotte is the successor of Joris Mathijsen, who left ADO two weeks ago.
“I want to be the club, where I entered the club as a young player at the end of July 1979 and was later active as the first team player, youth trainer, head of training, head coach and technical manager, to be of service to return to the highest level as soon as possible,” Wotte said on the ADO site.
General director Natascha van Grinsven-Admiraal was also happy with the return of Wotte. “It is nice that we were able to fill this important position so quickly with someone who is closely linked to the club and with the city. Mark Kent ADO Den Haag like no other and has already meant a lot to the club in different roles,” says Van Grinsven-Admiraal.
Mathijsen was the second policymaker in a short time who left ADO. Trainer Darije Kalezic said goodbye after missing out on the promotion last season. Mathijsen spoke of a “difference of insight” and believed that his “vision of sporting policy no longer joined the course that the club currently has in mind”.
