The 2000s hit band 2. Monday will return to the gigs.
The band on the humorous Eurodance -influenced music band 2 Monday will return to the festival stages for the first time in seven years.
The band will be seen this summer, including We Are One! at Kuhmoinen and Koria Roll Rock Festival in Kouvola.
As a bow character, the band has the only original member, Petri Flanderknown as Peter Bottne.
According to Flander, the band’s return has been based on the growing wish of the audience.
“We have been asked so much,” he says.
According to Flander, the return of the yard boom, in particular, has made the band a gig phone pick up more and more.
“It’s been asked for a long time, but this condition of the Meikäläinen, because of these foot surgery, has been such that I couldn’t really promise anything before,” he says.
Flander’s both hips have been cut at different times – one three and the other two years ago – which has not been able to return to the festival stages before the corona pandemia.
Now things are different – Flander is ready.
– I’ve been training more than ever for these gigs, he says excitedly.

Festival stages call
The band was actively touring last in the 2010s. However, according to Flander, they were on the move too early, and therefore the success did not carry further.
– The yard boom has been quite insanely long, but in 2010, when we made the first return, we were too early, he says and continues:
– Now that I have listened to and analyzed a little bit of our songs, I have decided that it was too early in 2010. Now that the 90s are romanticized again, those songs work better.
Flander is wondering how time has changed both society and the meanings and reception of the old songs of the band. He is looking forward to seeing how the new generation is about their music at festival gigs.
– Our song Barbarafor example, when women were not in the army at all, Flander recalls.
In a song published in 1996 Cell phone The use of the phone, which was considered mainly the case of a business man at the time.
Now he will follow with interest how the new generation will receive songs that are behind the phenomena of his time.
– These were the phenomena of the time we made these songs in the cheek, and that little was bullied in that way.

With the humor back
Flander is about the band’s return with a relaxed and humorous attitude.
– I like to be at gigs. I am so narcissist in the sense that I like to tempt people with my own being and throw that flap on the stage on the cheek, he laughs.
He has designed a familiar from Mascara band Sari “Sakke” Wallenius cooperation in the future, but no plans have yet been locked.
Flander is pleased that music has never turned into work.
“It’s more about getting in good places, throwing a flap and playing gigs in a good spirit – one where they laugh together,” he describes.

Cream from the top of the cake
Flander is very pleased with the success of its band, which was experienced before Somme.
– I’ve really got the good things about popularity, he says and remembers the band’s hottest time with warmth:
– We toured Finland on the third leg and drove about one hundred thousand kilometers to the red Bemar. We shook all around Lapland, southern Finland in between.
Flander is grateful for enjoying success in the drug – and then disappearing away from the public. Today, he values privacy and does not need greater visibility.
“Everyone wants to be celebrities at some point, so we could really take those creams from the cake and then lost away,” he describes.
As the band’s activity slows down, Flander has focused on his work as an optometrist and runs his own optician movement in Vuosaari. Nevertheless, he does not feel that he has become a serious adult.
– I don’t know if the world has changed or have I stuck in my thirties now, he laughs.
He is still spending time with his adult children, including motorcycle.
– I haven’t got any serious type. As long as the humor remains, life is good, he sums up.
