Children’s holiday
For many Amsterdammers it will take some getting used to. Already in July to the Parade, normally enthusiasts had to wait until mid -August. This year the organization decided to do it differently, after Rotterdam and The Hague it is Amsterdam, instead of Utrecht. “Then we thought when we turn Amsterdam and Utrecht then we have the children’s holiday in both Amsterdam and Utrecht,” explains Nadine van Pinxteren. “That is of course very nice for the children’s parade and also for everyone who lives here in the area, that you can enjoy the parade for the entire holiday.”
Aunt Leen
Tonight, among other things, the show ‘Deep in my heart’ about the life of Aunt Leen, in café Correct. Maker Martijn Bosman: “We honor and celebrate the life and work of Aunt Leen, so her songs and her status as an Amsterdam icon. We are all a big fan of her music for a long time and we have now had the opportunity to make a show about her. We think that’s great.”
