“It will take at least ten days before you can say more about your condition,” said Steve Butcher, the former President of the International Turner Confederation (FIG), on Facebook on Thursday. “The entire gymnastics family prays and keeps their fingers crossed for a complete recovery.”

After the accident, the Italian team of supervisors immediately withdrew the Azzurri from the competition. The official communication of the association is: “The entire association is closed behind Lorenzo and wishes him a quick recovery. Forza Bonni!”
