When does the Tour de France Femmes 2025 take place?
The Tour de France of women will start on July 26th and end on July 3 in the Alps. It is not planned for a day off. From Brittany it goes southeast across France. The Grand Départ becomes in Vannes be on the Breton coast, the goal in Châtel Two mountain ratings of the first and one of the “Hors Catégorie” after a final climb at a height of 1297m.
How many stages are there?
The field of drivers has to complete nine sections. The entire route is 1165 kilometers long. As with men, there is no section in 2025 that leads through a neighboring country. A total of 17,240 meters of altitude are waiting for the drivers in the nine days. Both the overall distance and the number of vertical meters are most that have existed at the Tour de France Femmes so far.
What are the highlights of the Tour de France Femmes 2025?
The climbing of the tour 2025 must be completed in the Armorica massif, in the central massif and in the Alps. On the 8th stage it goes on the famous Col de la Madeleine at 2000 meters high – the roof of the Tour de France Femmes 2025. Overall, on the section of Chambéry 3490 vertical meters can be mastered on the Col de la Madeleine. How many mountain stages, flat stages, time trials and rest are available this year?
The professionals determine the best specialists on three flat stages, three hilly up to mountainous stages and three designated mountain stages – and in the end the radiant winner. There is no time trial nor a day off.

How many teams are there at the Tour de France Femmes 2025?
154 drivers from 22 teams compete on July 26th. They are accompanied by a total of around 300 team members
Who are the favorites?
There are also two names for women that have to be specified: Demi full ring and last year’s winner Katarzyna Niewiadoma. The two drivers separated just four seconds at the end of the tour. But Elisa Longo Borghini is also to be mentioned. The Italian won the Giro d’Italia Donne in 2024 and 2025. Liane Lippert and Ricarda Bauernfeind must be observed from Germany. Lippert was overall 18 last year, Bauernfeind celebrated a tour stage in 2023.
What is the yellow jersey, green jersey and dotted jersey?
On the tour, the professionals who are in the front of one of the ratings wear a special jersey. The best known is the yellow jersey (French “Maillot Jaune“), which bears the leader in the overall ranking. The best in the sprint rating drives in the green jersey. The dotted jersey gets the leader in the mountain ranking. The best -placed young driver (under 25) is allowed to cover the white jersey every day.
How high are the prize money?
50,000 € will be distributed for the overall victory, the second receives € 25,000, the third € 10,000. Daily successes are endowed with € 4,000. The winners of the sprint, young and mountain jerseys each receive € 3,000. There are € 120 for victories on the intermediate sprints at stages, and the mountain ratings are 160 € (HC) up to € 30 (category 4).
The victory in the team classification is rewarded with € 6000. The “most combative” driver receives € 500 at the end of the day, the victory in the final accounts here is worth € 2000.
